I finally lived out my child-hood dream, & I went to a museum dedicated to all things sweet, not just once, but twice. The eight-year-old in me was so excited because I have the biggest sweet tooth. Chelsea & I bought our tickets in September, & we were lucky to even get tickets because there were only a few left when we bought ours. Everything sold out pretty fast. Even all of the tickets until February were already sold out, & that's how long the installation was only going to be in town for, so we were really happy. I even remember the day that we bought our tickets, LOL. I was in Santa Cruz, & I had just found out about the second tickets release for the extension until February, & I called her literally as soon as I found out, & she was on the toilet, & without even greeting her, I immediately said, "Check your texts because I just sent you a link. Buy your tickets to The Museum of Ice Cream right. fucking. now," & without hesitation & / or any questions, she did. Not even an hour later, ALL of the tickets from October - February were already sold out.
The museum itself was mostly for pictures. There's not really much that you can do or put your hands on there. Prior to going & every time I saw other people's pictures on Instagram that were taken here, I'd always think, why does everyone keep taking the same fucking pictures? & When I got there, I realized that, that's really all that they had, so there weren't really any other things to even take pictures of. It's really not that big. It was worth the $40 that we each paid for, but probably not any more than that. Chelsea & I got through the whole thing in, like, an hour & a half, but we took hella cute ass pictures, we got free ice cream, & we bought random, cute shit from the gift shop. <3
