As a child who grew up as a prima ballerina, ballet will always have a special place in my heart, along with the many other hobbies & activities that I grew up doing. Up until now, my brain's still hard-wired from ballet because I still need constant acknowledgment. I even still have a box full of my old tutus & pointe shoes sitting in my closet. I couldn't miss "The Nutcracker" ballet in San Francisco this winter season, especially because Tchaikovsky's one of my favorite composers. In fact, I'm seeing the "Swan Lake" ballet in San Francisco this upcoming spring season as well. The tickets to the ballet were hundreds of dollars, which was nothing to me.
"The Nutcracker" was just as refined as I would've imagined it to be. It instantly brought me back to my child-hood, even as far back to when I would watch "Barbie & The Nutcracker" every night when it came out in the early 2000's, which was one of the contributing factors to my desire to even take lessons & become a ballerina in the first place. I drank champagne, & it was so alluring to see everyone dressed up classy, especially the little girls who were all dolled up & in little gowns & dresses. I even talked to some of the ballerinas after the show to congratulate them on their graceful performances & to tell them how much I really enjoyed the show. Thank you so much for a magical evening. <3
